The owner of Paradise Seeds has a name, Luc. More specifically, Luc Krol, a Dutchman with a reputation for being a good and fun guy, founded Paradise Seeds in 1994. A cannabis enthusiast, something I can relate to, Luc had his first encounter with cannabis when he saw a plant growing in his parents’ garden, much like my first experience, except with the hash my parents enjoyed in their free time.
From that moment, Luc knew he had found his life’s passion, and it was not a trend or anything close to that. It was the early 80s, and little was known about the cannabis plant. It was nearly impossible to get seeds, let alone ones of good quality. Typically, these seeds were brought back by people who had travelled to remote locations, and you had to be good friends with one of them to be gifted some or, of course, travel yourself.
But this didn’t stop Luc from getting hold of cannabis seeds to start making his first selections and crossings, which, after hard work, have reached the top of the global cannabis scene, winning numerous awards in the most prestigious global competitions like the HTCC.
History of Paradise Seeds
The story of Paradise Seeds goes back quite a way. Although the seed bank was officially founded in 1994, as we’ve mentioned, by that time, its cultivators had already been experimenting with genetics, growth techniques, and cannabis strain hybridisation for 12 years.
These experiments mainly began around the 1980s when cannabis seeds from distant places, and also from the USA, started entering Amsterdam. This revolutionised the Dutch scene, which had previously only offered low-quality hashish, sold in coffee shops.
From the outset, the Paradise Seeds team was involved in the quest for new genetics and better quality. Their goal was to create strains that stood out both for their growth, being taller than the usual plants of the time, and for offering a better, sweeter, and more intense flavour.

The Paradise Seeds team has always been committed to the quality of their seeds. This is reflected in two key concepts: firstly, they produce all their seeds organically without the use of harmful or chemical products. Secondly, they pay close attention to the pollination process during breeding and hybridisation. Why is this stage so important? Because it prevents contamination and ensures the highest seed quality.
As a result, Paradise Seeds’ pollination areas are equipped with all the necessary security measures to prevent interference from unwanted male pollen in the selected stock. These measures include pollen filters in each grow room, and careful scheduling of pollination to minimise risks as much as possible.
However, their quality process doesn’t end there. After the seeds are produced, there is a careful manual selection, where any seeds showing signs of immaturity or fertility issues are discarded. Only after this screening do they study the viability and germination of the seeds.
Thanks to these meticulous processes, Paradise Seeds guarantees a 95% germination rate (provided that cultivation conditions are appropriate).

Paradise Seeds offers mainly autoflowering and feminised seeds. They also have a line of regular seeds, although this last category isn’t very popular in Spain.

What Sensi Star is Like

Luc advises not using large amounts of nutrients for this plant. Sensi Star is a wonder and doesn’t need excessive fertiliser to reach its full potential.
