In today’s article we review the most productive marijuana of recent years.

Each year at Experiencia Natural we have been putting out the ranking of the most productive seeds, now we offer you this list gathering all of them. Here we show you one of the marijuana with the highest yields of each year and we give you a link so you can get more information about each of these champions.

The list goes from the last year we have done the ranking to the first. This way you will first find the newest top performers. There is only one exception, the current year and the previous year, which still have their separate articles, you can find the access to the 2022 and the 2023 list here.

What makes a marijuana plant the most productive?

Before we start, let’s just say that the most productive marijuana is that which has the capacity to produce more buds, denser and heavier than its congeners. It is also taken into account that it should produce them in the smallest possible space, as indoor crops must make the most of the space available. As opposed to outdoors, where the plants are usually grown as large as possible.

Within the most productive marijuana strains you can find varieties that are larger, making them more suitable for outdoor environments, and others that are smaller and more compact, more suitable for indoors. There are also some that do very well in both environments. Let’s get started!

The best producing cannabis seeds of 2021

The long awaited ranking of the most productive cannabis seeds of 2021 is here. This 2021 is a year full of incredible novelties, but also one with absences, those of Dinafem and Humboldt Seeds, two of the producers that always obtained good places in this list of the most productive marijuana seeds of 2021.

Lemon Tree

As we said, Barney’s Farm always pleases all its fans with varieties out of the ordinary. This is the case with the new 2021 Lemon Tree, an excellent American genetic, capable of producing XXL yields.

These new seeds come from crossing Lemon Skunk with Sour Diesel, resulting in a new hybrid genetic with very high yields. Specifically, the manufacturer states that in a flowering period of only 65 to 70 days, Lemon Tree marijuana can produce up to 650 grams per square metre indoors. Outdoors, when given the best conditions, it can reach up to 1500 grams per plant.

But this ultra-productive seed is not just that. Lemon Tree also boasts an aromatic profile marked by the terpenes limonene and myrcene, which give it a citrusy and spicy fragrance at the same time.

GH Amnesia

We continue with the most productive marijuana seeds of 2021 with the GH Amnesia from Greenhouse Seeds, a version of the well-known Amnesia strain taken to its most productive profile. This 65% sativa-indica strain promises a yield of up to 900 grams per square metre, although as mentioned above, being from Greenhouse, this is an exaggerated figure compared to that given by other manufacturers. Also, from independent consultations we can comment that this is one of the most productive varieties of 2021.

GH Amnesia offers medium to tall specimens, but with short internodal distance, which ensures an optimal ratio of flowers to leaves. It grows vigorously and, when it reaches the final weeks of flowering, it offers a striking orangey colour.

The aromas that are characteristic of this strain are complex, an original blend of nutty, petrol, olives and all wrapped up in a creamy sensation.

Godzilla Glue

The third on the list of the highest yielding cannabis strains of 2021 is Godzilla Glue, an Indica hybrid from the Dr. Underground seedbank. This strain is the result of crossing two of the most productive marijuana strains ever seen, King Kong and Gorilla Glue #4. Specifically it is the famous King Kong elite clone known as “Butal Kong”.

Dr Underground says this strain can yield up to 1.5kg per square metre indoors, although this is also a figure to be taken with caution. This amount is said by the bank to be the case, provided optimal conditions are met and “advanced training techniques” are used. This means having an aeroponic system at maximum capacity and with at least 1200 watts of HPS or 850 watts of LEC light per square metre, when it is normal to have at most half that. A weighted value of this yield would be 700 grams per square metre, which is also one of the best marks for 2021.

In addition to this, Godzilla Glue has a short flowering period and a cocktail of many different terpenes, such as pinene, myrcene, ocimene and guaiol, which give it a deep and complex aroma.

Grape Amnesia

We continue with a nice welcome to Female Seeds, a manufacturer of great value for money, which debuts today in our rankings of the best with its Grape Amnesia. In addition, and as we are used to from this bank, its price is quite affordable.

Grape Amnesia is one of the most productive marijuana plants of 2021, from Female Seeds they point to an indoor yield that can reach up to 700 grams per square meter. When grown outdoors, she can reach up to 2kg per plant, figures that are more than adequate and are considered maximum yields.

An elite Amnesia clone has been used to create this new high yielding strain, which has been crossed with their well-known Cindirella 99, also known as C99. The result is a Sativa-dominant hybrid strain with fruity terpenes and a high presence of active cannabinoids.

Purple Punch

Speaking of banks with a great price, we come to one of our favourites, the 00 Seeds bank, a manufacturer that every year surpasses itself and makes available to collectors varieties of great actuality and prestige, always at the best price. In this case it is Purple Punch, one of the most productive feminised strains of the year 2021, as well as one of the cheapest.

00’s Purple Punch marijuana is the result of crossing Granddaddy Purple and Larry OG, to give a new strain with Indica dominance, small and compact, but with a production capacity beyond any doubt. 00 Seeds say their Pruple Punch can reach up to 700 grams per square metre, always under optimal indoor growing conditions.

00 Seeds indicates 22% THC production capacity, this together with the indica dominance of this variety makes its effects are intense and mainly relaxing.

Mimosa x Orange Punch

Probably the best strain of 2021 in every aspect, already featured in our list of the most potent marijuana of 2021 and now in this one of the most productive marijuana of 2021. This is a cross of two of the most successful genetics of recent times. Offered, once again, by the prestigious Barney’s Farm, which is always at the forefront of the market.

Mimosa x Orange Punch marijuana seeds have a very high productive yield, its large buds, violet and orange, surprising to the eye and weight. The bank indicates in its data sheet values of up to 700gr/m2 for indoor growing, while outdoors it could produce up to 1.5kg per plant.

It also has the ability to produce up to 30% THC, one of the highest values ever seen on the market. It is therefore a strain that produces a lot of everything.

Other notable features of this strain are its rapid flowering time, as it is ready in a flowering time of only 55 to 60 days, as well as its aromatic properties, which offer a distinctly citrus fragrance.

Highest yielding marijuana of 2020

Among the top yielding strains of 2020 we highlight here Purple Punch. This strain comes from the multi-award winning seedbank Barney’s Farm and is a high-flying cross between Grandaddy Purple and Larry OG.

This compact Indica performs particularly well indoors, where it can yield up to 700 grams per square metre. However, it is a very hardy plant with a very high production capacity outdoors as well.

C-Vibez

We start the list of the most productive marijuana of 2020 with one of the crown jewels of Dutch Passion, their C-Vibez. This is a selection of seeds specially chosen by the experts of this seedbank for the most sybaritic Cannabis growers.

The origin of this plant is due to a cross between a Mad Scientist and a Voodo, which resulted in this C.Vibez, a plant with a very special aromatic profile, compact size, short flowering and exceptional production. An Indica plant that doesn’t grow taller than 150cm but gives very good results.

This is an easy to grow marijuana, suitable for beginners and also copes very well with guerrilla growing. Considering that flowering is very fast and can be finished in 8 weeks, it fits very well with the discreet philosophy of this type of outdoor cultivation.

But the best thing about C-Vibez is its ability to deliver XXL harvests. Dutch Passion don’t offer any concrete yield figures, but our years of experience working with them ensure we know that if they say the plant delivers XXL harvests, it will deliver at least 600 grams per square metre indoors and a kilo outdoors.

The effects are also very potent. Being an Indica plant, the effects it can provide are mainly of a relaxing feeling. Finally, its aroma is equally excellent with a mix of fruity and citrus aromatics that is delicious.

Tropicanna Banana

The second selection on the list of the most productive marijuana of 2020 is Tropicanna Banana, signed by the seed bank Barney’s Farm, one of our favourites from US territories. This is the best of American resinous genetics, with the best of tropical aroma and potency to match.

This great strain is the result of crossing a Banana Kush with a Tropicana specimen, with GSC and Tangie lineages, among others. The result is a deeply sweet, resinous, potent, productive marijuana… The adjectives fall short to describe the good result that this plant offers in each harvest.

It is a medium height hybrid specimen, which will not exceed 110 cm indoors. It has a fast growth and, at the end of flowering, is when it will show fruity aromas, a mixture of organoleptic inheritance left by its parents. Its aroma is worthy of this is more. A blend of tropical fruits like banana but also citrus fruits like orange.

It is a pest and mould resistant plant, so it is hardy enough for a novice grower to grow without problems. This, along with its short flowering time of just 70 days, makes it the perfect specimen for anyone looking for a premium seed but from a hardy strain.

The best thing about this strain is possibly its yield. It is a strain that produces around 700 grams per square metre indoors, while it can offer up to 2 kilos of harvest if grown outdoors. Something really difficult to find in such a potent hybrid plant. Its effects are balanced, initially you will notice an energetic high, which will culminate in a more calming and pleasant effect.

The most productive marijuana of 2019

We continue our compilation of the highest yielding cannabis strains of all years with the top marijuana seeds of 2019.

Critical Orange Punch

It’s one of the best yielding strains of 2019 and ever, plus it has a super tight price tag which makes it a favorite of many collectors, this is the Critical Orange Punch from the famous Ducth Passion Dutch seedbank.

Critical Orange Punch has it all, it’s good, beautiful and cheap. As well as being one of the highest yielding strains you can find on the market, it is also very fast, finishing flowering in just 8 weeks for indoor grows. Dutch Passion have not revealed the exact yield values of Critical Orange Punch, but we have it on good authority that it is one of the most generous yielding strains ever to see the light of day.

Blue Gelato 41

We start with an Indica-dominant hybrid. Blue Gelato 41 is one of Barney’s Farm’s most productive marijuana. It is a cross between Blueberry and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. It is not a plant suitable for beginners, as it is important to control its nutrient intake and height. It can reach 2 meters in height outdoors, so it has a more typical Sativa growth. Its effects are cerebral and very potent, thanks to the 25% THC it can concentrate. It yields up to 700 grams per square metre indoors and up to an incredible 3 kilos outdoors.

2018 was the first year we started with the ranking of the most productive marijuana seeds, this time one of the most outstanding strains was the Santa Bilbo. Just as the previous 2 standouts are mainly Indica, Santa Bilbo is clearly Sativa and one of the highest yielding strains ever.

Santa Bilbo

Spanish seedbank Genehtik Seeds has put a lot of love and hard work into the creation of this strain, one of the most productive sativas ever created. This indica-dominant hybrid produces compact plants, very high potency and of course, very high yields. Indoors it is one of the best performers, reaching up to 700gr/m2. King Kong, by Dr. Underground

That it’s called that already gives you an idea of what it’s like. King Kong marijuana produces a big yield with an abundance of resin in a fairly short flowering period, finishing in early October. According to Dr. Underground the yield indoors is 700 – 900 grams, and around 1 kilo per plant outdoors.
