This breeding work resulted in Mota Khan Afghana, a variety that Elite Seeds has used to breed other strains from their stock. Individuals of Mota Khan Afghana have a compact structure, low stature and bushy shape. It is a pure Indica variety, so it develops thick stems and short internodal distance. The Elite team reports that this strain can produce long, compact and bulky flowers.

They also indicate that Mota Khan Afghana can tolerate high doses of fertiliser, low EC also and is resistant to high temperatures and windy locations, due to the origin of its genetics. 

The flowering time of the Mota Khan Afghana strain is 8 weeks for indoor gardening. Outdoors, on the other hand, the flowering of this variety can be finished by the last week of summer, which is a medium-short period if you take into account its Sativa genetics. 

Production of Mota Khan Afghana

No numerical yield figures are available for Mota Khan Afghana at this time, although Elite Seeds reports that this strain can produce medium to high yields. 

Common effects

Pure Indica strains are traditionally capable of producing long-lasting, sedative sensations. This is true of Mota Khan Afghan. According to the cannabinoid tests carried out by the Elite Seeds team, this strain can produce up to 18.5% THC, so it can be classified as a strain with active cannabinoids. On the other hand, CBD production is practically nil.
