It is a Sativa strain, with a lot of energy, a good yield and a taste that will not disappoint you. Portela seeds come from the cross between a sativa male Icer and a Jamaican female.

What is Portela like?

The result is a marijuana with Sativa genes and vigorous growth. One of the characteristics of R-Kiem Seeds is the production of Sativa marijuana seeds with height and this is the case of the Portela.

Moreover, the buds it produces are more similar to an Indica marijuana than a Sativa. Thus, they are bulky buds, full of trichomes and with lots and lots of resin. Being one of its fundamental characteristics the frosted aspect that it obtains at the end of flowering.

Its flowering period is very short for a strain with the characteristics of Portela. Thus, indoors it will take 9 weeks to bloom. On the other hand, outdoors, the plant will be ready to harvest at the end of September and the beginning of October. It is a plant that is advisable to grow indoors, as it has a very similar behavior to an Indica, while outdoors both its flowering and its height are more similar to the Sativa.

How much does Portela produce?

Of the Sativas it is often said that they produce less than other genotypes. With the Portela nothing could be further from the truth. Thus, it does not have to envy to indica specimens in its yield. It produces, indoors, up to 500 grams of harvest per square meter. On the other hand, outdoors it will be able to produce without difficulty up to more than 700 grams of harvest per plant.
