Polar Gelato by Silent Seeds comes from the cross between Bacio Gelato (Gelato #41) and Sunset Sherbert. This is an authentic version of Gelato created in seed form, giving the possibility to produce a crop that meets the highest standards of the industry. Polar Gelato offers a unique balance of 50% hybrid, potency and a frosty, biscuity, delicately floral dessert flavour.

The collaboration between Silent Seeds and Mario Guzman, also known as Mr Sherbinski, has resulted in the creation of some of the most famous strains. And now, he surprises us with Polar Gelato. A feminized marijuana seed with unique genetics, resulting from the cross between Bacio Gelato and Sunset Sherbert.

What is Polar Gelato like?

Polar Gelato grows vigorously and when flowering is advanced accumulates so many flowers full of resin, it is likely to have some branch breakage, so the use of tutors is recommended. This variety is quite fast flowering, indoors it is harvested after only 8-9 weeks of flowering, while outdoors its height can approach 2.8m and it is harvested 1 or 2 weeks after the end of summer.

The Polar Gelato line exhibits vigorous growth with a wide branching structure, spaced internodes and an open plant shape, as well as a large amount of long, broad leaves, a typical characteristic of the Gelato line.

Polar Gelato does not present any particular difficulties for cultivation and requires a medium level of nutrients. This strain offers a high yield potential, however, to make the most of this potential, optimisation techniques such as pinching or apex pruning, FIM pruning, LST, Supercropping, Lollipopping and defoliation are recommended. These techniques are essential to obtain the best results, so it is important to prepare the growth phase properly. 

Production of Polar Gelato

According to Silent Seeds data, indoors it can produce up to 600g/m2 . On the other hand, outdoors and in good growing conditions, it can reach 1600 grams per plant.

Most common effects

The concentration capable of producing this strain is between 27% and 30% THC and less than 0.2% CBD, not only responsible for the thick white coating of trichomes, but also for the potency of the Arctic White Bear. The effects are felt quickly, providing a dense and harmonious feeling of long-lasting bliss.

Organoleptic properties

Polar Gelato offers a unique taste experience thanks to its unique combination of terpenes. This delicacy has a refined biscuit ice cream dessert aroma with complex floral notes, reminiscent of Italian hazelnut ice cream desserts.
