Blueberry Strain

As with many other of the most mythical marijuana strains, Blueberry was originated in the United States in the late 1980s. The breeder responsible for this real wonder was called DJ Short and between the late 80s and 90s, he created and developed this mythical genetic. To obtain this strain, DJ Short was breeding genetics as different as a pure Sativa called Highland Thai (also known as Juicy Fruit Thai), a Purple Thai (crossing Highland Oaxaca Gold with Chocolate Thai), and an Afghan genetics that had developed in California and Oregon.

From this breeding work Dj Short was able to create and stabilize the different genetic lines that are included in the Blue strain until, already entered the 90's, he shared his creation with the Dutch Passion guys. For this reason, now we can enjoy new different strains coming from to this original Blueberry strain. Nowadays we can also find Blue strain genetics in almost all seedbanks.

In the Blueberry strain, we have to highlight above all the aromas and flavors it presents and its incredible coloring. When you grow Blueberry yit is possible to find the aromas of blueberries, red fruits and other very ripe fruits, with a strong sweet taste underliying.

On the other hand its intense blue coloration, which becomes more intense when the night temperature drops at the end of flowering. Another characteristic shared by the members of this strain is the high power and balanced effect, on the one hand energizing (fruit of the Thai genetics) but balanced with a relaxing part (by the Afghan genetics crosses).
