What is the PH?

The term PH is no more than the abbreviation for hydrogen potential and is a parameter that measures the concentration of hydrogen ions that exist in a solution. From this, the acidity of the solution is extracted.

Cannabis plants need optimum conditions for their correct development and the acidity must be kept stable for optimum nutrient uptake. Soils that are too acidic and too little acid can interrupt the plants' nutrient intake, so the use of pH measuring instruments are essential for monitoring the crop.

Depending on the stage in the life cycle, the plant will require a certain level of acidity, always below the neutral pH, as above 7.0 acidity, the plants would have problems taking in nutrients. This is why the use of PH measurement tools is essential.

As a general rule, the PH that Cannabis plants need during the growth phase can range from 5.5 to 6.0, depending on the variety and the medium used. On the other hand, when the plants reach maturity, the flowering stage, the PH level can be gradually increased to between 6.0 and 6.5 points, even a little more in some cases.
